SUMMARY
Integral daily management of large-scale solar plants in Taiwan, ensuring best practice for safety, quality and environmental performance, whilst enhancing the overall returns and value of each project and complying with all of the applicable contractual agreements. Support processes optimization for Asset Management operations in Taiwan, streamlining and aligning with APAC Asset Management processes to allow scale.  
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
General management requirements 
•    Managing a Portfolio of solar farms located in Taiwan, and supporting solar farms projects under development/construction as required while our presence in the region grows
•    Oversee the effective onboarding from Construction of all new projects, the efficient management of the EPC O&M period, including the transition to the long-term O&M provider
•    Contribute to develop policies, processes and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural/legislative and contract requirements are fulfilled
•    Establish a collaborative relationship with the EPC & O&M contractor with the aim of maximizing the safe asset performance and operation
•    Build strong team relationships and establish effective communication and collaboration working practices with all stakeholders
•    Support divestment initiatives as required and in line with business strategy
•    Support colleagues in the Development teams in the provision of costs and performance data to help shape the financial models for future projects
Daily Asset Management operation 
•    Oversee the day-to-day Asset Management and Operation of all assets, to ensure a safe working environment for all LSbp colleagues, contractors, visitors and neighbors, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards
•    Review and manage all SPVs contracts for SPVs obligations and other contract party respectively, including insurance
•    Ensure compliance of all operational projects with key contracts such as PPA, O&M, Grid Connection, Loan agreements and Trading Representative contracts
•    Contribute regularly to the lessons learned process to help inform Development and Construction colleagues of key learnings from the operational phase of the assets, in order to improve the quality and value of projects in development, as well as the pace of delivery
•    Continuously identify improvements to operational and AM policies, procedures and processes to ensure relevant contractual, regulatory and legal requirements are met
Performance and monitoring 
•    Performance review of the sites as well as analysis of potential optimisation projects/actions
•    Regular review of site performance on monitoring platform 
•    Own and drive in-year operational budgets to beat targets sustainably and optimize financial value of the assets
•    Maximize total return for each asset through the analysis of operational and financial system efficiencies, controlling costs and identifying opportunities for improved performance
•    Support Financial manager with analysis of P&L variance and CF Forecast and Solar plants Budget, as well as the P&L of the AM profit Centre within the Region
•    In conjunction with key business partners, provide regular Asset Performance updates and improvement plans (and progress against) to colleagues across the business and critical external stakeholders
Contract management
•    Oversee main contractors (including EPC and O&M) to ensure compliance with relevant obligations, influencing to ensure high standard of operations. 
•    Develop compliance calendar, manage and monitor compliance in all contracts and activities in relation to O&M, PPA, Grid Connection, Loan agreements and Trading Representative contracts, etc. 
•    Manage contractual process, such as PAC-IAC-FAC, with the EPC Contractor in coordination with the technical department
•    Encourage and support a positive working relationship with all landowners and local representatives, whilst ensuring that all payments are made when due, and all agreed actions are delivered
•    Manage and co-ordinate potential contract modifications as required
•    Overall management of the energy sales done by Energy Sales Management team and approve and monitor all payments of the plant
•    Accounting an A/P
•    Invoice collection sign off
•    Recommendation on required unbudgeted costs
 KNOWLEDGE 
•    Knowledge of renewables market in Taiwan and globally (large-scale solar PV and Battery storage)
•    Understanding of the key contracts to manage and awareness of the critical stakeholders to manage for a based solar or Battery asset
•    Knowledge of the Solar (and Battery) asset lifecycle 
•    Technical knowledge (preferable but not essential) of large-scale solar and Battery assets
•    Strong process orientation
•    Proficiency in SAP financial systems
EXPERIENCE 
•    5 years of experience in the role preferably in the solar market. BESS experience is a plus
•    The ideal candidate may have worked for financial investors active in the renewable space internationally, and IPP or a vertically integrated developer
PERSONAL/WORK SKILLS
•    Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential
•    Problem solving and proactive attitude
•    Detailed oriented and well organised
•    Able to work efficiently and effectively under the pressure of tight deadlines
•    Effective track record in managing successfully sites from remote location 
•    Driving license is advantageous given the requirement to attend site visits 
•    Able to build strong relationships and work well as a team=
•    Process oriented 
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
•    Educated to Degree level in a subject applicable in the renewable industry
