What you’ll do (the role)

Summary

The Program Coordinator plays a key role in supporting documentation governance, regulatory compliance, and contractual obligations across Lightsource bp’s APAC portfolio. The role oversees the coordination and management of project documentation and compliance processes to ensure alignment with company standards, regulatory requirements, and operational readiness across the asset lifecycle.

This position also contributes to monitoring compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies while supporting continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen transparency, efficiency, and risk management. In addition, the role supports government contract and compliance activities, including oversight of social licence commitments and initiatives aimed at meeting contractual and regulatory obligations, while providing high level reporting to key internal and external stakeholders.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

State and Federal Government Contracts

  • Ensure the accurate setup, organisation, and ongoing management of all project documentation, maintaining adherence to company and regulatory standards.
  • Act as the Principal’s representative for the administration of government contracts.
  • Ensure all contractual and social license obligations and compliance requirements are tracked and met.
  • Lead and coordinate tender submissions for government-run programs.
  • Manage reporting and compliance requirements during development, construction, and operations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and third parties (e.g. EPC, O&M) to ensure obligations are clearly allocated and delivered.
  • Oversee performance, financial, and contractual reporting required under the programs.

Compliance Management

  • Ensure accurate setup, organisation, and maintenance of project documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Act as a central coordination point across LSbp APAC teams (development, delivery, and operations) to support documentation handover and consistency.
  • Work with the IFS and APAC Asset Management teams to support implementation and continuous improvement of the Asset Management platform.
  • Monitor compliance with local regulations and internal policies, identifying and addressing gaps where necessary.
  • Drive continuous improvement in compliance monitoring, documentation processes, and reporting to improve efficiency, transparency, and operational readiness.

Knowledge Required

  • Strong understanding of key contracts, and stakeholder roles and responsibilities across construction, development, delivery, and operations functions within large-scale renewable energy projects.
  • In-depth familiarity with compliance management frameworks, including relevant local regulations and internal policies applicable to renewable energy projects in the APAC region.
  • Knowledge of best practices for optimizing documentation workflows and compliance processes.
  • Understanding of major government revenue support tender processes (e.g. CIS, LTESA)
  • Strong understanding of CIS and LTESA contracts including project milestone commitments, social licence commitments, revenue calculations and payment claims, and all reporting requirements

 

Experience Required

  • Hands-on experience managing and maintaining project documentation to ensure compliance with the agreements.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and acting as a liaison among development, delivery, construction, and operations groups.
  • Demonstrated involvement in implementing and improving documentation management.
  • Experience in government revenue support tender processes within renewable energy, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
  • Experience in government revenue support contracting (e.g. CIS and LTESA) and compliance requirements

Education

  • Educated to Degree level in a subject applicable in the renewable industry,
