What You’ll do
Assist in the maintenance of accurate and complete set of accounts for all company activities in Australia. Provide support to the business for financial systems and uphold financial processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
Management Accounts
• Produce monthly management accounts
• Reconcile account balances, maintain the general ledger, and perform month-end close duties and journal postings
• Ensure all underlying accounting records are maintained in accordance with the business policies
• Work closely with our internal business partners to ensure all information is delivered accurately and within agreed time
Financial Processes and Systems
• Manage the chart of accounts and has full knowledge of entity structure
• Process the recharges of Australia and New Zealand group of entities
• Provide treasury support – owning the funds request process ensuring enough funds are available, managing the administration of the bank accounts in Australia and New Zealand
• Liaise with the Accounts Payable function to ensure a smooth purchase to pay process
• Understand the financial systems used and assist training new individuals
Audit, Tax, and Entity Compliance
• Assist with the monthly and quarterly GST returns for all entities.
• Prepare the required information for the Fringe Benefits Tax returns
• Maintain company entity listing and work with internal tax group to update compliance register
Budgets & Forecasts
• Work with other members of the finance team and internal business partners to ensure accurate budgets and forecasts are produced and maintained
General day to day activity
• Take a hands-on approach where required, processing entries for all ledgers as necessary
• Take ownership and pride in the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of financial information
• Liaising with other members of the wider finance team
Who we’re looking for
Knowledge
• The ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment interfacing with internal teams and external clients.
• Understanding of accounting principles
• Ability to produce finance reconciliations, analysis, and reports
Qualifications
• CPA / CA preferred
• Ability to organize workload
• Excellent attention to detail with an ability to recognize anomalies
• Accurate data input essential
• Set high standards of performance
• Excellent MS Excel skills
Experience
• 3 years of experience ideally with renewable energy, project infrastructure and/or manufacturing experience
• Experience with SAP S/4 Hana accounting and reporting system desirable
• Experience working in a global company desirable
