Land Acquisition Manager

What You’ll do
As part of the development team, the role will require to lead land related activities for projects. The person will manage all activities for land purchase & lease contracts through local developers, land brokers, and third-party companies, as well as related work to obtain resident consent.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage site assessment, site control, and acquisition efforts for land and potentially other facilities for solar PV projects
• Specific duties include prospecting, site identification and assessment, information gathering with local government, viability analysis, outreach and property owner relationship building and relationship management
• Manage local land developers
• Develop targeting strategy to secure land for renewable energy projects in collaboration with management, internal staffs, and external consultants
• Collaborate with permitting, technical, legal, and financial teams to support the project development process
• Manage and maintain data rooms, project summary and tracking tools, and project files
• Manage basic local satellite office during land lease and purchase process
• Contribute to the development of LSbp’s strategy and approach for community engagement in South Korea
• Identify and assess local partners to support our community engagement activities
• Work with partners to organize community events
• Communicate effectively with diverse range of stakeholders; including members of public and local government authorities, industry associations, NGOs etc
• Compile and maintain update reports as required by management
• Other development and support activities as may be required by the Company
Who we’re looking for
Knowledge & Experience
• 5+ years experience in renewable energy or real estate industry, 2+ years working experience in rural areas preferred
• Familiar with resident compensation scheme and resident participatory program in South Korea
• Strong track record of working cooperatively with provincial and local governments
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent project management skills including the ability to manage complex project issues, managing time, setting priorities and organizing the complex logistics of engagement activities providing outputs
• Knowledge of community and stakeholders’ engagement practice in South Korea
• Multinational company experience a plus

Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree in related discipline
