Business Development Manager

What You’ll do 

Inside the Business Development unit will give support to all activities for both securing the pipeline growth according to company targets, and bringing projects through the acquisition, filing stages and then to the Ready To Build status, through Financial Close and Construction/Operation.  
Will also regularly report and update projects authorization timeline, environmental issues/solutions, liquidity prospects and budgeting through the proper company IT platform.

Duties and responsibilities
• Coordinate with internal support functions (Legal, Grid, Commercial Engineering, Power Markets, Planning, Structured Finance) and eventually external advisors in the evaluating of greenfield and/or Co-Dev opportunities, both within PV and BESS market, to secure a pipeline growth aligned with yearly company targets.
• Support and coordination of third-party developers or service providers in activities for issuing the application of the projects to relevant authorities and then obtaining legal authorizations for the installation and operation of ground mounted photovoltaic plants and BESS units. 
• Support and coordination of third-party developers and internal support functions in activities for integrating documents and giving feedback to Authorities during the permitting process. 
• Support and coordination with the team in the updating and transmission to the top-management of forecasting dashboards of permitting processes (timeline, budgeting, cash flow forecasts, financial impacts of potential unforeseen factors)
• Support and coordination of third-party developers and local authorities in managing environmental mitigation propositions and related issues. 
• Direct interface both with the competent authorities and entities involved in the project authorizations, and with all the stakeholders (including municipalities and landowners). 
• Support to other teams in M&A deals or disputes, both technically and through financial models management. 
• Support for business lines in managing technical due diligence activities.

Who we’re looking for    

Knowledge
•    General Knowledge of current regulation framework in Italian PV and BESS Market. 
•    Excellent knowledge of all both greenfield development and co-development processes
•    Capability in reflecting assumptions changes into financial model analysis 
•    Excellent knowledge of English language
•    Capability in constrains analysis for PV sites and GIS environment knowledge will be a plus

Qualifications 
•    Five-year degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification 

Experience 
•    At least 5y Experience as Business Development Manager in the PV market (more than 7y will be a plus)
•    Having Business Development experience in the BESS market will be a plus
•    Experience and interpersonal skills in managing relations with public organizations
