Senior Marketing & Communications Manager

Position can be performed in London, Austin, Denver or San Francisco.  If US-based canididate is selected, they must be willing and able to work London hours (online by 11 am GMT). 

Duties and responsibilities
•    Working with the global marketing leadership team, develop and manage various external marketing and communication campaigns to help grow brand awareness/recognition and drive traffic to the global corporate website
•    Create a variety of content including thought leadership, blogs, white papers and the like while ensuring content is optimized for SEO and SEM while adhering to brand and writing guidelines
•    Develop SEO strategies, including monitoring SEO keywords
•    Create, build and publish website pages and news posts
•    Track and measure the effectiveness of marketing and communication efforts using various analytic tools and platforms
•    Provide regular reports and insights to inform decision making and optimise global corporate marketing strategies.
•    Monitor and track the company and competitors utilising media monitoring and other platforms. 
•    Support the development and execution of the media outreach plan, assist with cultivating relationships with key media contacts and help secure earned media coverage to enhance company and executive visibility

Who we’re looking for     

Knowledge
•    Excellent writing skills and ability to create engaging content
•    Proficient in WordPress CMS and content management principles
•    Knowledgeable in content design standards, writing for web, and user experience (UX)
•    Knowledge of various digital marketing channels, including website, social media, SEO, SEM, email and content marketing 
•    Knowledge of media monitoring, social media, and google analytics platforms
•    Excellent communication skills, including crisis communication and public relations management
•    Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges 
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-focused environment 
•    Exceptionally organized, attention to detail with great time management 
•    Perform duties and tasks independently with little supervision
Qualifications 
•    Bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, English or business administration or related field
Experience 
•    Over 5 years of working in a leadership role developing marketing and communication campaigns
•    Strong content marketing skills from conceptualization, writing, editing, and publishing of materials including blogs, press releases, thought leadership articles and social media posts  
•    Over 3 years of team management experience to include internal team members and/or external contractors
•    Strong understanding of current digital marketing platforms and analytics tools like Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite, WordPress, Cision/Brandwatch, Salesforce, HubSpot, social analytics, etc.
•    Some understanding of renewable energy/energy storage industry
•    Proven oral and written communications skills with a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
