What you’ll do (the role)
Purpose of the role
LSbp is looking for someone to join the Global Portfolio Planning team to help drive the next phase of our growth and global expansion.
As Associate, you will be a key member of the team central function and work closely with the relevant corporate and regional stakeholders accountable for the planning and reporting of the LSbp projects in development and construction.
The Global Portfolio Planning team shapes and supports the execution of LSbp’s strategy by collaborating closely with the Region COOs, CCO, CFO, Regional Department Directors, Structured Finance teams, Country teams, the central Finance and Strategy teams. You will have the opportunity to obtain a deep commercial and financial understanding of renewable development, gain valuable insight into decision making and management of a high-growth renewables business, alongside significant exposure to senior management and executive team.
Duties and responsibilities
The Associate is expected to closely collaborate with the central Portfolio Planning counterparts and corporate stakeholders, as well as the region Portfolio Planning teams in EMEA, APAC and USA, to succeed on the following duties and responsibilities:
Global Pipeline Monitoring & Reporting
- Lead monitoring, reporting and consolidation of the Global Development pipeline. Responsible for signing off the monthly Global Development Pipeline Report.
- Lead the quarterly global Development pipeline forecast. Owning the forecasting model, coordinating and consolidating regional inputs, to produce a robust forecast of the expected global Development pipeline KPIs performance.
- Regularly review and maintain the rigour of the global Development pipeline, monitoring project movements and ensuring adherence to project discontinuation governance.
- Own, maintain and enhance all Pipeline-related dashboards (on PowerBI).
Global Development Plan Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and monitor each Region’s Development Plan, with a detailed understanding of the projects in plan. Consolidate into the Global Development Plan for monthly reporting and liquidity planning purposes to the Executive team.
- Run ad hoc Development Plan scenarios as requested by the central business functions.
- Actively engage with key governance forums in each region to ensure Global Development Plan KPI alignment.
Global Construction KPIs Monitoring & Reporting
- Lead global Construction reporting process, reviewing and consolidating region contributions, and feeding the monthly Global KPI update to the Executive team.
- Actively engage with key governance forums in each region to ensure Global Construction KPIs alignment.
Global Liquidity Forecast
- Work closely with Region Planning Teams and Region Finance Leads on the monthly liquidity forecast, supporting quality control of submissions, consolidation into the global liquidity forecast, and ensuring full alignment with the latest portfolio plan.
- Work closely with the FP&A team to monitor effects of Portfolio Planning on the economic and financial health of the business (i.e. liquidity/ EBITDA impact), supporting on stress scenarios.
Investment strategy and capital recycling
- Work closely with the CIO and CCO organisations to ensure Development plan alignment with the business investment & divestment strategy.
Governance
- Support enhancement and standardisation of development and construction milestones definitions, integrating into central reporting framework, and supporting adoption in each region.
- Support global roll-out of definitions and governance for additional asset technologies (e.g. Battery Energy Storage, Wind); lead coordination of future requests to amend or enhance definitions and governance across regions
Enhanced ways of working & Systems
- Support on new reporting and Portfolio Planning initiatives and roll out in each region.
- Identify further opportunities to enhance existing ways of working, support standardisation and create tools and processes to drive increased transparency and reporting quality of the global portfolio.
- Support the customisation and adaptability of the business IT platforms to new technologies/ project setup; continuous scrutiny on the accuracy of reported data; support roll-out of new system functionality to enhance quality of pipeline reporting.
- Conduct benchmarking to ensure competitiveness of the portfolio, working closely with the Strategy team and the Structured Finance team
- Support on Strategy-related projects, working closely with the Regions for adoptions and inputs.
Who we’re looking for
Knowledge/ Experience
- Relevant professional experience; energy / renewables / development
- Strong interest in solar PV and/or Storage Batteries and the energy transition
- Background in Finance, Portfolio Management or Financial modelling preferred
- BA or equivalent required; a degree in engineering or the sciences would be advantageous; Masters preferred
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Power BI preferred

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence senior management
