What you’ll do (the role)

Summary

In this role, you will support the Central Development Team in improving how we develop solar projects across EMEA. You'll gain hands-on experience in renewable energy project development while assisting with key workstreams including improving development tools and processes and supporting in-country development teams to improve how we develop projects. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the full solar development lifecycle and contribute to bankable renewable energy projects in the EMEA region.

Renewable energy development is the process of taking a project from early concept to construction-ready status by securing land, permits, grid connection, and key technical approvals. It requires coordinating environmental, technical, legal, commercial, and community considerations to ensure a project is viable and deliverable.

A Development Manager leads this process end‑to‑end. They identify and advance project opportunities, manage relationships with landowners and local stakeholders, coordinate technical and environmental studies, and oversee permitting and grid connection applications. Acting as the central point of coordination, they work with internal experts and external partners to manage risks, maintain project schedules, and progress projects toward investment decision and construction. Our team is made up of Development Managers who support this process and work with development teams across the EMEA region to progress our pipeline of renewable energy projects towards being ready to build.
