Content Creator

Lightsource bp is recognised as a ‘global leader’ in solar development and has recently announced a world leading deployment target of achieving 25GW by 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative content creator to work alongside a brilliant, agile and global Marketing & Communications team to drive the creative outputs of our communications strategies across our internal, corporate and social channels to increase awareness and engagement


This role requires a talented mobile video producer and editor and skilled social media photographer with knowledge on telling and distributing stories about energy, people engagement and climate change – weaving key messaging into websites and subsequently distribution across social media.


The role would suit a social media pro, who understands current social trends and content creation to grow our social media channels and engagement. You must have experience of managing and creating content for websites, Instagram and Facebook and a working knowledge of other social platforms like Tik Tok. 


This role requires planning, creation and editing skills across video and photography, and as part of the Marketing Team, you will be responsible for the digital content creation of our brand message. 
With a focus on visual content marketing, telling our amazing people and project stories, you will enhance the online engagement on the website and social media to create increasing brand awareness and recognition.


Duties and responsibilities
●    Create and produce engaging visual content strategies – video and photography
●    Manage our social media channels 
●    Create, plan and prioritise content distribution
●    Video production
●    Art direction for photography and video shoots
●    Managing a range of visual agency partners to brief in requirements and obtain best in class outputs
●    Savvy in digital design – Knowledge of design software is a bonus but not essential
●    Identify new ways and platforms to access wider range of audiences and engagement
●    Monitor, measure and report on the success of campaigns
●    Monitor social sentiment through our media monitoring tool and support development teams with insights and communications strategy
●    Leverage LSbp expertise to drive new business opportunities
●    Ensure budgets are adhered to and maximized
●    Identify new strategic partnerships to drive business 
●    Collaborate with external comms team on third-party opportunities
●    Assess opportunities for LSbp-hosted events to drive business across LSbp’s functions.
●    Owning and managing a digital asset management platform

●    Experience in the renewables or wider energy sector
●    Creative writing
●    Working across a global company


●    Degree-educated
●    Formal marketing, graphic design, or videography qualifications a bonus


●    Brilliant and articulated communicator
●    Excellent stakeholder engagement experience, including at a senior level
●    Managing corporate social media channels by responding, evaluating engagement etc
●    Experience pitching new ideas, executing and evaluating them
●    Previous use of digital marketing platforms to create, execute and evaluate success
●    Experience of successfully managing brand awareness campaigns and reporting engagement rates
●    Conscious and articulate writer, being able to translate technical information into engaging project and people stories 
●    An eye for engaging photography and video
●    Working across international cultures
