Internship Programme

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an intern to join our Company Secretarial team within our Legal Corporate department, responsible for the group’s corporate governance arrangements, ranging from subsidiary governance across our multi-jurisdictional portfolio, arranging and minuting the group’s investment decision making and ensuring the board, stakeholders’ and wider group’s compliance with applicable law and market practices.

 

This role provides an exciting opportunity for a budding company secretary or lawyer to gain experience within a dynamic and changing business in a high growth industry.

 

Based in London, our internship program starts on the 2nd June 2025 and will end on August 22nd 2025.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Work closely with the Company Secretarial and Finance teams to design, implement and facilitate the UK annual accounts approval process
  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing the entity management system (GEMS) for legal and governance records
  • Assist in preparing and submitting annual compliance requirements (including confirmation statements in the UK)
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of statutory registers and records of our legal entities
  • Help manage shareholder and director changes, including drafting resolutions and updating internal records and GEMS
  • Liaise with various stakeholders within Lightsource bp including Legal, Finance and Treasury teams
  • Engage with external parties including Companies House and our auditors
  • Conduct research on corporate governance best practices and regulatory developments

Why you’ll make a great member of the team

 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for preparing reports and tracking data
  • Ability to conduct legal and regulatory research using reliable sources
  • Basic understanding of board meetings and corporate resolutions would be an advantage but is not required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A proactive mindset and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
