Purpose of the role
We are looking for a dynamic, hands on, individual who will be responsible for managing vendor and contract lifecycle from an IT perspective, cost management across multiple IT businesses and finally managing and controlling the software license portfolio used across the Group. They will be responsible for providing the necessary oversight of all IT related Commercial based activities. 

Duties and responsibilities

•    Responsible for managing all the IT contract lifecycle and technology spend across the organization
•    Lead the end to end sourcing activities for executing sourcing processes, establishing requirements, tendering, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, implementation, risk mitigation, contract management and SRM activities.
•    Build long term relationships with business stakeholders, providing a single point of contact and becoming trusted advisors, working collaboratively across the organization that deliver commercial value
•    Responsible for the operational and strategic management of software licenses within the organization.
•    Ensure the adherence to IT Asset Management (ITAM) process across the group through an effective governance framework
•    Review, draft and negotiate terms in a variety of agreements including supplier contract agency and customer contracts and service provision agreements.
•    Ensure compliance to software and hardware vendors contractual terms by effectively tracking, monitoring, reporting, auditing, renewing and disposing assets throughout their lifecycle
•    Manage and maintain company's contracts register, including all customer and supplier agreements to ensure all key terms are readily accessible and all agreements captured centrally.
•    Working closely with the Finance team to produce all the necessary Financial Management information packs required to effectively Manage IT Costs and the IT budget
•    Supporting demand management and new business cases to ensure accurate OPEX costs are monitored and reflected for future budgeting
•    Leading cost control initiatives to reduce the IT operational cost base

•    Good knowledge of IT Procurement practices, across hardware, software, services, networks and outsourcing.
•    Good understanding of commercial objectives and budgeting cycles
•    Understanding of software licensing/maintenance models.

Experience Required
•    At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role is essential
•    Experience writing procurement policies and strategies
•    Experience in supplier/ relationship management, and dispute resolution
•    Experience dealing with negotiating IT contracts
•    Extensive experience in software agreements & licensing models

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimal Qualifications

•    Degree or higher qualification in information technology or a track record working in an information technology service delivery field.

Preferred Qualifications    

•    MCIPS
•    CIPS
