The opportunity
We are looking for a US Indirect Tax Manager to lead our US indirect tax compliance and process management. Reporting to the US Tax Director, this role will support multiple business functions, help improve tax processes, and partner with our UK Indirect Tax Manager on building a global indirect tax workstream.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced indirect tax professional who enjoys working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, growing renewable energy business.
What you’ll do
- Manage US indirect tax compliance, including sales and use tax, gross receipts tax, and business licenses
- Oversee registrations, renewals, exemption certificates, and compliance calendars
- Monitor indirect tax law and regulatory changes
- Improve processes to increase efficiency and standardization
- Support ERP upgrades with SAP and Technology & Operations teams
- Lead indirect tax audits, notices, and controversy matters
- Review EPC and MSA contracts and advise on indirect tax implications
- Administer OneSource Tax Engine, including content updates, configurations, testing, and support
- Support M&A due diligence and ad hoc tax projects
What we’re looking for
- 4–6 years of indirect tax experience
- Strong experience in indirect tax compliance and process management
- Renewable energy in-house experience preferred
- SAP and OneSource Tax Engine experience strongly preferred
- Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a changing environment
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary:$108,000–$135,000
- Annual bonus:20%

- 4 weeks vacation, 3 weeks sick leave, and 11 paid holidays
- 401(k) with 3% nonelective employer contribution
- Hybrid schedule based in our Austin, Denver, or San Francisco offices
- Monthly phone reimbursement up to $100 and commuter benefit up to $150
