The Opportunity

We are looking for a Regulatory Compliance Analyst to support the Senior Director, Regulatory Compliance in the day-to-day management of regulatory compliance activities across our U.S. portfolio.

In this role, you will help build a strong culture and record of compliance with NERC standards while serving as a subject matter resource for federal and state regulatory matters. You’ll work cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to help ensure compliance obligations are managed accurately, consistently, and on time.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop replicable processes and procedures to complete, in a timely and accurate manner, all required filings and submittals to regulatory entities, including FERC, NERC, Regional Reliability Entities, EIA, DOE, and State Public Utility Commissions
  • Assess and catalog regulatory and RTO/ISO registration and reporting obligations
  • Manage and maintain all regulatory logins and shared inboxes
  • Work closely with Asset Management, Development, Legal, O&M, Power Marketing, Interconnection, the Performance Team, and third-party stakeholders to manage LSbp’s regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate compliance with and maintain documentation of the operational and technical requirements of FERC, NERC, and Regional Reliability Entity obligations
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive regulatory compliance calendar, training program, and training materials
  • Gather and review necessary information for new projects and collect site-specific data for internal documentation and reporting needs
  • Assist in document control and maintain the document library
  • Maintain knowledge of electric regulatory developments at FERC, NERC, Reliability Entities, EIA, DOE, and PUCs, and monitor operational developments and new or changing regulations

What You Bring

Knowledge

  • Sound knowledge of generation and transmission systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of the U.S. energy regulatory regime

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as business, public policy, or energy, preferred; or demonstrated experience working in compliance

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in a renewable energy-related field preferred, but not required
  • Ability to multitask in support of cross-functional requirements while meeting deadlines with accuracy and consistency
  • Proficiency in MS Office required; experience in data and workflow management and enterprise software platforms preferred
  • Detail-oriented with strong process and organization skills
