Support O&M in delivering operational excellence across the business. Build a strong culture and record of safety and compliance. Support in developing operations and maintenance methodologies and procedures that maximize the performance of PV plant sites. Support in developing processes and programs to ensure high and medium voltage components are operated and maintained in optimal condition to avoid operational failure. Serve as an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Subject Matter Expert and work collaboratively and cross-functionally on O&M-related Asset Management workstreams.

Duties and Responsibilities

•    Create and promote a strong safety culture by ensuring all HV/MV activities are executed in accordance with LSbp procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, including Stop Work Authority and safe switching principles.
•    Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs for HV/MV equipment based on OEM requirements, warranty obligations, operating history, and utility best practices.
•    Establish, standardize, and maintain fleet-wide HV/MV operating procedures, maintenance standards, and technical work practices to drive consistency across all projects and regions.
•    Support North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Generator Owner (GO) and Generator Operator (GOP) compliance activities, including evidence development, technical reviews, and coordination with internal compliance teams and external auditors.
•    Review, approve, and enforce substation de-energization, lockout/tagout (LOTO), grounding, switching, and re-energization procedures.
•    Ensure compliance with NERC, RTO, and ISO operational requirements, including seasonal readiness programs, readiness attestations, and operating requirements.
•    Create and manage substation construction-to-O&M transition processes, including turnover checklists and onboarding of new substations into the operational fleet.
•    Participate in 30/60/90 design reviews, providing operational, maintenance, and safety input to improve constructability, maintainability, and long-term reliability.
•    Support HV/MV commissioning activities, including review of commissioning plans, witnessing critical testing, validation of results, and confirmation of compliance with design standards.
•    Perform and oversee HV/MV quality inspections to verify installation integrity, workmanship, equipment condition, and readiness for energization.
•    Work closely with Construction, Engineering, and Asset Management teams to ensure successful transfer of Care, Custody & Control (CC&C) from EPC to O&M, with deficiencies identified and resolved.
•    Perform acceptance inspections of newly constructed substations and associated HV/MV equipment prior to energization and final handover.
•    Develop detailed scopes of work for corrective, preventive, and improvement-based HV/MV projects and support competitive bidding and contractor selection.
•    Engage and manage direct-hire HV contractors, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with LSbp technical standards and procedures.
•    Analyze HV/MV asset performance, outage durations, repair timelines, and failure trends to identify systemic risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives while reducing OPEX.
•    Implement technical improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability, availability, and operating efficiency while preserving OEM warranties and regulatory compliance.
•    Support investigations into plant outages, DC underperformance, HV/MV events, protection system operations, and abnormal SCADA behavior.
•    Provide technical support for protection relay event reviews, including high-level evaluation of relay event reports, fault records, and sequence-of-events data.
•    Coordinate with Protection & Control, Engineering, and OEM teams to ensure relay events are reviewed, documented, and addressed in a timely manner.
•    Support investigation of relay misoperations, nuisance trips, and abnormal protection behavior by engaging appropriate technical teams.
•    Serve as an operational liaison to translate relay and protection findings into actionable operational improvements.
•    Ensure relay data, SCADA data, and operational timelines are aligned during post-event analysis.
•    Support SCADA-related operational issues, including abnormal alarms, data quality concerns, loss of visibility, loss of control, and unexpected system behavior.
•    Coordinate with SCADA, IT/OT, and O&M teams to troubleshoot HV/MV-related SCADA issues and ensure timely resolution without direct system ownership.
•    Provide operational input into SCADA design reviews, alarm strategies, and system enhancements to improve situational awareness during HV/MV events.
•    Support Procurement and Engineering teams in the technical review of major HV equipment, including Main Power Transformers (MPTs) and high-voltage circuit breakers, providing operational, maintenance, and reliability input during specification, evaluation, and selection.
•    Engage with colleagues across regions to share lessons learned, best practices, and standardization opportunities.
•    Engage with key OEMs and framework suppliers to maintain technical support networks, improve equipment reliability, and support long-term fleet performance.
