Summary
In this role, you will be part of a highly skilled Deals team whose focus is on enhancing LSbp’s development and project execution capabilities.  The Deals Team leverages our extensive development, business development and construction experience across the US organization to align processes, drive consistency and seek out best practice. The Analyst role will support the Deals Team with providing consistent budgeting, risk analysis and handovers for projects between each stage (development, construction and operations).
You’ll work closely with in-country development teams and central functions to manage a pipeline of projects through to financial close, ensuring they are bankable, and ready for investment or sale, in line with business targets, solving problems as they arise. Alongside project development, you’ll manage, create and update processes which contribute to the standardization and enhancement of the region’s project development capabilities, and roll out proprietary tools and systems to ensure that LSbp ways of working are applied consistently across the business. You will also be challenged to think outside of the box and propose innovative ways change the way we do things, to ensure that LSbp can remain at the forefront of global solar & BESS development.

Duties and responsibilities
•    Assist Deals project leads with maintaining financial model inputs are signed off by relevant stakeholders. Ensure teams are implementing effective project management practises, such as keeping project cashflows and timelines accurate and up-to-date.
•    Support commercial decisions and create business analysis deliverables such as project briefs and traditional waterfalls for recommendations to the Executive Team for key projects.
•    Create and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business, enhancing the service we can provide to in-country development teams.
•    Develop a strong understanding of the development approach across multiple geographies, communicating lessons learned and market variations to the Deals Team to improve existing ways of working and implement new processes. This requires the ability to listen to stakeholders from many different cultures, levels and areas of expertise, and find consensus between them. 
•    Develop an understanding of key contracts (EPC, MIPA, PPA, BTA) and development requirements (such as land rights agreements) and be able to highlight key issues based on experience in other geographies and projects, working closely with in-country development and legal teams as necessary.
•    Assist in scheduling and tracking of minutes for executive sessions, communicating to the Deals teams action items and key takeaways.
Knowledge
•    Excellent project management skills with proven experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and cultures
•    Understanding of project finance modelling best practices and terminology. Analyst should have willingness to assist with several project finance models across various US markets at one time.
•    Excellent relationship & stakeholder management skills, including conflict management, managing team dynamics, effective communication and consensus building
•    Ability to adapt to continually changing priorities and aggressive project timeframes.
•    Ability to get to the heart of a problem and clearly communicate solutions and priorities to the team
•    Knowledge of property, PPA and EPC contracts 
•    Strong written and verbal English language (other languages beneficial but not necessary)
Qualifications 
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
•    Background in energy/management consulting/investment banking/finance/engineering preferred
•    Experience in renewable energy and storage industries preferred
Experience 
•    1-2 years’ experience is desirable in development and/or contracting of renewables, preferably solar and/or storage
•    Has strong Microsoft Office suite skills and knowledge of renewable energy financial models
•    Management of work-related projects, people and resources across cross-function teams is a must.

•    Ability to work autonomously and take initiative to independently problem solve
•    Highly adaptable with ability to learn quickly and work to tight and changing deadlines.
•    Ability to flex – someone who can take the lead in situations that requires a strong voice to close issues, but can also let the project team lead
•    Excellent negotiator and communicator  
•    Attention to detail and a drive to understand the “why”

•    Competitive compensation: $100,000 to $120,000 annually plus a discretionary 10% annual bonus.
