AI & Energy Strategy Intern
We’re seeking a Summer Intern to support our U.S. Portfolio Planning team in advancing strategic pipeline management and developing innovative energy solutions for emerging data center demand.
This role will focus on applying AI-driven analysis and data modeling to improve renewable energy pipeline planning and explore low‑carbon data center energy strategies that integrate solar, battery storage, and natural gas.
Locations: Austin, TX | Denver, CO | San Francisco, CA
Duration: Early June – Mid-August (~10 weeks)
Schedule: 40 hours/week | Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite)
Pay: $20/hour
What You’ll Work On
AI‑Driven Pipeline Strategy
- Explore ways to apply AI tools and automation to improve renewable energy pipeline planning
- Analyze project data to identify risks, opportunities, and forecasting insights
- Support development of more efficient planning workflows and decision tools
Data Center Energy Strategy
- Research and model energy strategies for data centers using solar and battery storage
- Analyze scenarios that optimize levelized cost of energy (LCOE) and reduce emissions
- Help build tools or dashboards that visualize optimization results and support strategic proposals
What You’ll Gain

What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
- Interest in AI, data modeling, and renewable energy systems
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability
Internship Details
- 10‑week summer internship (June–August)
- $20/hour | 40 hours per week
- Hybrid schedule with at least 3 days per week onsite
